AfroFuture Detroit will be Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, 2025.

AfroFuture Detroit will be held at the Bedrock’s Detroit Douglass Site. The festival entrance is located at the corner of Beaubien Boulevard and Winder Street. 

AfroFuture Detroit is an 18+ event. To guarantee smooth sailing for entry, don’t forget: 

• Your printed ticket or e-ticket  

• A valid photo ID containing a photograph and date of birth (make sure the name on your e-ticket matches your ID)  

• Temporary DMV documents proving you are currently renewing a license are accepted only if accompanied by passport or expired license 

Festival shuttle buses will not be provided, but Detroit taxis and Ubers are available.

• Ride-share (Uber/Lyft)

There are no lockers at AfroFuture Detroit. We recommend packing light and keeping your essentials with you so you can stay hands-free and focused on the vibes!  

There are no cash machines at AfroFuture Detroit.   

Missing something? Don’t worry—AfroFuture Detroit’s Lost & Found can be found at the customer service cabin located at the main festival entrance. 

If you feel you could benefit from the facilities we provide—disabled viewing platform, accessible toilets and assisted access—please reach out to the AfroFuture team with requirements and a member of our team will advise you further.  

Two water stations will be available.  

Multiple medical and welfare stations are located at the main festival site – alert any member of festival staff if you’re feeling unwell.

Re-entry for ticket holders who leave the site during festival hours will not be permitted.  

Only service animals are allowed on-site.

AfroFuture Detroit has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and illegal substances. Anyone exhibiting harassment of any kind or in possession of illegal drugs will have their festival wristband removed and will be escorted off the premises.  

The following items are prohibited at AfroFuture Detroit: 

• Aerosol containers, including sunscreen and personal beauty products 

• All professional and recreational audio, video and camera equipment 

• Professional radios or walkie-talkies 

• Drones or any other remote flying device  

• Laser pointers 

• Coolers of any kind (except for approved medical use) 

• Framed backpacks 

• Large purses, bags or backpacks (anything over 12” x 12”) 

• Glass and metal containers of any kind (except aluminum water bottles) 

• Illegal and illicit substances 

• Outside food or beverage (including alcohol) 

• Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, carts or personalized vehicles of any kind 

• Unauthorized/unlicensed vendors 

• Solicitation and/or promotional materials including handballs, flyers, stickers, beach balls, giveaways, samples, etc.  

• Weapons or explosives of any kind 

• Fireworks
